Windy Hill Retrievers
Windy Hill Retrievers is a family owned and operated retriever specific training kennel. We focus on training the highest quality hunting and competition retrievers possible. We primarily focus our competition efforts to the Hunt Test realm but we do on occasion with the right dog step into the Field Trial and Super Retriever series.
We have titled numerous dogs at the Hunting Retriever Champion and Master Hunter level. Michael has a vast knowledge of the hunt test game and has served as the Vice president of Southwest Georgia HRC for 2 years.
Being a smaller family run kennel has huge benefits for each dog as we try to bring it to its highest level of potential. we keep our dog numbers low which allows us the most 1 on 1 time daily with each dog in our care.
While the competition side of our kennel has a special place in our hearts, we also put as much focus on training the highest quality hunting dogs possible. All the ribbons are great but at the end of the day we went the dog to excel at what they are bred for and that is to hunt!
Our head trainer has spent countless hours in a duck blind, both guiding hunters as well as recreationally. He knows hands down what a good hunting dog is. We don't waste that experience, we share it and mold each dog into a teammate that anyone would be proud to stand over.
