Hunt Test Program
Windy Hill's Hunt test program is designed for clients who want to have their dog compete in HRC and AKC hunt tests. This program can take your dog from a puppy all the way through advanced work. We can handle your dog as they work their way through their titles or we can teach you how to compete with your dog.
NOTE: Not all dogs are capable of competing in Hunt tests, especially at the higher levels. We will be open and honest with you at all times about your dogs progress and abilities.
Gun Dog program
Our Gun dog program is based around our countless hours spent hunting waterfowl in the best parts of this country. From the corn fields and pot holes of South Dakota to the flooded timber and rice fields of Arkansas. We have hunted in it all and have handled dogs in it all. A true well rounded hunting dog has to be comfortable in all kinds of situations that you will encounter hunting. this program has the same foundation work as our hunt test program but at the end turns and focuses on realistic hunting scenarios. Decoys, shotguns, boats, timber stands and floating blinds are all introduced and used daily to get these dogs ready for their first hunt. At the completion of this program you will have all the tools you need to have a successful hunting season.
NOTE: This program has a 5 month minimum requirement.
Obedience Program
We offer a formal all breed obedience program. This program takes any medium to large breed dog from an unruly member of your family to a dog that is a pleasure to be around. We teach both on and off lead obedience. This program gives you the peace of mind to be able to take your dog into any environment with full confidence that you will be able to control them. We take your dog to numerous public places that are pet friendly and proof the training. as with any of our programs, we afford you full opportunity to come and be part of the training.
Note: This program is 6 weeks long.
